GLASS PAVILION | Zionsvile, IN | 2018
The GLASS PAVILION is an addition to a mid-century modern house. The 1955 existing house was designed by renowned Indianapolis architect Edward Pierre. The existing house is located on a narrowly projecting peninsula with ravines on three sides in the woods. The 16-foot deep by 24-wide addition cantilevers over the south ravine and becomes a part of the woods. The original Entry Foyer is expanded around the existing stone chimney, reorienting the entry to the original pathway and connecting the pavilion to the existing house.
